FIELD: aircraft and rocket engineering; high- speed missiles of various classes. SUBSTANCE: fairing has ceramic dome with seating cone on its inner surface which is joined with metal frame by means of elastic sealing adhesive whose thickness is greater than difference in thermal expansions of ceramic dome and metal frame throughout entire operating temperature range; inner surface of ceramic dome bears additional cone placed in opposition to seating one and provided with split metal ring attached to it by means of sealing adhesive and mechanically joined with frame cowling by means of fastenings such as keys, wedges, screws, and the like. In addition elastically deformed gasket made of heat-resistant rubber base material is fitted between butt ends of ceramic dome and joining ring of frame. EFFECT: extended service life, enhanced strength of metal-to-ceramic joint under force and heat thrusts on fairing. 2 dwg
