FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: design of the antenna dome includes a ceramic cap with cone on the inner surface, which is the reverse of a seating cone, a conic metal frame and a split metal ring, joined to the metal frame and the ceramic cap through matching surfaces by a polysiloxane-based adhesive and by fastening elements to the metal frame. The split metal ring has length which is comparable to the length of the matching part of the ceramic cap and the conic metal frame and has a shoulder which rests on the face of the ceramic cap, and the fastening elements are in form of inserts with a T-shaped section and are fitted in through-windows of the metal frame and the split metal ring.
EFFECT: longer operating mode of the antenna dome and longer range of the aircraft.
