EQUIPMENT FOR CLEANING OUTER SURFACE OF TUBE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: tube working processes and equipment, possibly in gas-oil production, public utilities and hydraulic engineering for cleaning outer surface of tubes. SUBSTANCE: equipment includes frame, drive unit, supporting wheels and cleaning members including plates with cutting edges and mounted onto elastically deformed foundations arranged on endless chain. The last is arranged along tube to be cleaned. Supporting wheels designed for holding tube in horizontal position and preventing its lateral shift are mounted with possibility of extension and fixation. Equipment is also provided with member for rotating tube around its axis; said member is driven by means of separate drive mechanism. EFFECT: possibility for cleaning tubes of any desired diameter, enhanced quality of cleaning, increased efficiency of cleaning process. 3 dwg
