FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engines with complex movement of rotor. Proposed rotary engine has stator consisting of middle housing with inner cylindrical bore, shaft installed in bearings, and rotor. Rotor is made in form of disk with hub installed on shaft for travel along its axis and transmitting torque to shaft. End face surfaces of rotor disk are either cylindroid or conoid. Operation of engine is simultaneous execution of rotating and reciprocating motions of rotor with possibility of changing closed volumes between end face surfaces of stator and rotor. EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine at simplified design and reduced overall dimensions. 8 dwg
