FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for compression and delivery of gaseous medium under pressure. Proposed rotary compressor contains stator consisting of middle and two side housing with bores in which shaft is installed in bearings, and rotor made in form of disk rigidly secured on hub installed on shaft for displacement along its axis and receiving of torque from shaft. Rotary compressor operates on principle of formation of variable volumes in spaces formed by profiles of rotor and stator in process of simultaneous rotation and reciprocation of rotor made in form of disk whose end face surfaces being curvilinear surfaces between two fixed working surfaces of side housings. EFFECT: increased capacity of compressor, reduced materials usage owing to reduction of overall dimensions. 3 cl, 8 dwg
