FIELD: pipeline shutoff fitting, namely ball type cocks used in different branches of technology including those with high demands for fluid-tightness (chemical, explosion hazard production processes). SUBSTANCE: cock includes body with rotary ball shutoff organ arranged in it. Shutoff organ engages with polymeric annular seats mounted in inlet and outlet branch pipes of cock and having on their end faces cone surfaces in zone of engaging with branch pipes. Elastic flexible rings are placed on said cone surfaces. Surfaces of seats engaging with shutoff organ are spherical ones with radius equal to 0.97-0.99 of radius of ball of shutoff organ; ball of seat surface passes through crossing line of ball of shutoff organ and inner cylindrical surface of seat. Invention provides enhanced adjoining of seat to shutoff organ and allows to compensate wear of seat material at operation of cock. EFFECT: enhanced fluid tightness of cock along shutoff organ due to absence of leakage, significantly increased useful life period of cock. 2 dwg
