FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing a series of tests which involves introducing a gauge with a sample shaped as nut hemisphere to be crushed, into the oral cavity of a patient in horizontal position between the teeth under study. The sample is arranged in the mouth as sandwich so that occlusion surface of a superior tooth is engageable with hemisphere surface. The sample is retained with minimum force for 3 s with following sample crush to be done. The applied forces are converted in electric impulses for carrying out received data analysis and comparison. The measured applied forces are recorded from the beginning of retention to the crush. Data analysis and comparison is carried out by means of mobile multilevel microprocessor from estimation time diagrams. The received diagram results are compared to data describing the like teeth group observed in patients having intact dentomaxillary system. The applied forces being less than 100 g and their instability in time being detected, alveolus bone cell atrophy is to be diagnosed. The device has gauge connected to mobile multilevel microprocessor with flexible electric cord. The gauge is designed as parallelepiped from rigid food plastic. Duralumin sensitive element shaped as 4 cm diameter circle is mounted on the upper working surface of the parallelepiped. It has prescribed elasticity properties and projects above the upper parallelepiped surface. Posterior portion of the gauge is heavier than the anterior one by wire weight stretched from the gauge to clip holding it on the patient cloths. EFFECT: high accuracy in measuring minimum and maximum thresholds of tactile periodontal receptor sensitivity in retaining and splitting. 4 cl
