FIELD: material technology, namely special technologies. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing; framework joined with housing through units for suppressing oscillations; motion drive unit mounted on framework; movable carriage on which are arranged: heating unit with heating sections, cooling circuit, magnetic inductor, capsule with initial material placed in holders mounted on framework and charging hatch. In order to realize process with use of continuous or variable magnetic field, magnetic inductor includes electromagnetic coil 12 for creating lengthwise continuous magnetic field and three coils 13 of three-phase system for creating rotating variable magnetic field; coils 13 are mutually shifted by angle 120 degrees and they are arranged in plane normal relative to plane containing inductor axis. In order to receive closed magnetic flux, coils 13 are arranged on poles of charged core 14 and they are embraced by means of outer annular magnetic circuit 15. Electromagnetic coil 12 is arranged along axis of inductor; it is embraced by means of solid core formed by tubular magnetic circuit 16 and it is closed at both ends by cover plates. EFFECT: possibility for realizing different type experiments without labor-consuming operations only by using continuous or variable magnetic field acting upon melt for producing high quality material. 5 dwg
