FIELD: underwater acoustics, measurement of parameters of motion of objects. SUBSTANCE: technical result of application of given procedure consists in provision of potential for determination of radial velocity and direction of velocity vector of noisy object under passive mode. Procedure determining parameter of noisy object includes reception of signal by two antennas separated in space, measurement of mutual spectrum between signals received by these antennas, measurement of mutual spectrum between signals received by antennas separated in space in far field of noisy object at time moments t1 and t2, measurement of secondary spectrum from mutual spectra measured at time moments t1 and t2. measurement of periods T1 and T2 of average filling of secondary spectrum by carrier at time moments t1 and t2, measurement of value of change of period ΔT = T1-T2 in time Δt = t1-t2, Δt being greater than measurement time of period of mutual spectrum. Radial velocity Vp = KvΔT, of noisy object is chosen as parameter, where Kv is proportionality factor found experimentally in processing bandwidth of received signal. Direction of velocity vector is determined by sign ΔT. EFFECT: provision of potential for determination of radial velocity and direction of velocity vector of noisy object under passive mode. 3 dwg
