FIELD: deposition of gas-thermal coatings from wire material. SUBSTANCE: electric-arc metallizator has air chamber, device for forming uniform speed field in front of spray nozzle. Said device is made in the form of perforated diaphragm, with diameter of each perforation being equal to 0.8-1.2 the length of air chamber portion arranged behind diaphragm in front of spray nozzle. Spray nozzle is made conoid-shaped. Wire convergence point is arranged on spray axis within the range of spray core. EFFECT: increased efficiency in strengthening product surfaces and improved quality of product coating. 1 dwg
