FIELD: nondestructive inspection of quality of welds. SUBSTANCE: in compliance with method test of mechanical stress in metal of structure is conducted first, chart of stresses by which areas including concentrators of mechanical stress ( potentially risky sections ) are exposed is constructed, concentrators of stress are arranged according to degree of their risk and class. After it nondestructive test is performed by other methods, for instance, by ultrasonic method, in volume not exceeding characteristic sizes of concentrators of stress. EFFECT: expanded application field and enhanced authenticity and adaptability of method. 1 cl, 3 dwg
