FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method is intended to ensure industrial safety of processing equipment. The method includes analysing specifications of technical devices and entering the information into a database; evaluating the technical state of the technical devices at different periods of operation taking into account their technical state before operation; forming a general database on the actual technical state of devices at different periods of time and the dynamics of evolution of the technical state in the future based on the information obtained when evaluating the technical state at previous steps; wherein evaluation includes technical genetics of the state of technical devices to obtain data on the technical state at the previous period of time; technical diagnosis of their state at the current period of time; technical prognosis of their state at the next period of operation; selecting from the total number technical devices, which are part of the production system equipment, classified as weak links and most susceptible to degradation processes which lower their operational reliability; establishing reasons reducing the operational capacity. Based on expert point-based evaluation using a matrix form of analysis of the obtained information on the degree of reliability and safety of operation, any investigated object is assigned a numerical value of the hazard rank from 1 to 4 depending on the technical state thereof based on the results of technical genetics, technical diagnosis and technical prognosis. Further, depending on the hazard rank assigned to the technical device, the level, volume and frequency of non-destructive inspection of the technical state of the technical device is determined.
