FIELD: concentration of ores of noble, nonferrous rate metals, for instance, from placers. SUBSTANCE: device has cylindrical body with helical channel on its internal surface for trapping and moving of heavy fraction. Spiral channel is directed toward main flow of treated pulp. Device also has appliance for pulp supply, appliance for withdrawal of light fraction at body outlet. To increase efficiency of concentration by regulation of turbulence in channel, the latter is formed by body internal wall and installed spring for its compressing. Cylindrical rotor is installed in device body with catching appliance on external surface for spinning of pulp in gap between rotor and device body. Appliance for withdrawal of heavy fraction from the last coils is made in the form of calibrated pipe union located in device body. For extension of dispersed composition of trapped particles, several springs with different intercoil gaps and corresponding number of pipe unions for withdrawal of heavy fraction may be installed. To add additional function of centrifugal pump to apparatus, inlet unit is provided with forehead with central hole for suction of pulp, and rotor end face from the side of pulp intake is provided with impeller for its pumping into annular gap between rotor and device body.
