FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in piston internal combustion engines. Detonating piston engine with adjustable compression ratio comprises cylinder (4) with thread, piston (6), cylinder head (7) in the form of cylindrical shell with external thread, with inlet window (10) and with detonation hole (11). There is ignition plug (8) and a flat disc, detonation disc (12) with drive hollow bushing (15) kinematically connected to drive mechanism (17). Detonation disc (12) is equipped with detonation inlet hole (13) and axial hole (14) and is inserted to the bottom of cylinder head (7). Combustion chamber (27) is limited by surface of cylinder (4) and bottoms of cylinder head (7) and piston (6). Engine is equipped with pressure fixed disc (20) fixed to cylinder head (7). Pressure fixed disc (20) has inlet hole (21) communicating with mixing chamber (22), which has fuel injector (23) and air supply tube (25) with gate (26) for adjusting the section of air supply tube (25). First detonation ignition is performed forcibly when piston (6) reaches the top dead centre (TDC) of central ignition plug (8). Second detonation self-ignition is performed at coincidence of detonation hole (11) of head (7) and cavity of detonation inlet hole (13) of detonation disc (12) at movement of piston (6) at 45 degrees from TDC and penetration into cavity of detonation inlet hole (13) of combustion gases of fuel-air mixture from combustion chamber (27) with temperature not lower than 2,500 degrees and with pressure not less than 5 MPa.
EFFECT: increased power and reliability due to design simplification.
