FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: shank has tine and pipe. Lower portion of tine is made of parts inclined downward in left-hand and right-hand direction. Each part of tine has tip. Pipe has spaced channels extending through tine body and its parts and having sections increasing toward tips. Lower parts of pipe are joined to flares. Each of flares is made in the form of truncated cone and makes continuation of pipe. Axis of each flare is inclined downward at an angle equal to or exceeding angle of friction of applied mineral fertilizers with respect to tine material. Shank is used for applying mineral fertilizers under ridges of potato plant rows. EFFECT: reduced draft and increased yield. 2 cl, 9 dwg
