FIELD: chemical and medical industries and nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for method embodiment consists of working cell 1, thermostatically controlled unit 2 having window 3 transparent in working band of electromagnetic spectrum, electromagnetic radiation source 4, focusing system 5, treatment zone mechanical transfer system 6, electromagnetic radiation filter 7. Working cell 1 is made of material transparent in working band of electromagnetic spectrum, for instance, fluoroplastic, polyethylene. Placed into working cell 1 is aqueous solution of LiCl saturated at 90 C and containing mixture of isotopes 6Li and 7Li. Zone of phase transition with gradient 90 _→ 20 C, 5 mm long is provided. Speed of zone transfer is 2.5 mm/h. Electromagnetic radiation passes through filter 7 filled with the same solution LiCl but enriched in isotope 7Li, and enters zone of optical treatment in cell 1. Upon completion of passage of phase interface zone from beginning to end of cell 1, samples are taken from opposite ends of cell 1. Treatment with electromagnetic radiation may also by effected on interface of phases: gas-solid or gas-liquid phase.
