FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine cooling system. SUBSTANCE: proposed thermostat has housing whose upper and lower parts are coupled with branch pipes located on surfaces of separate parts of housing, and one bypass branch pipe with diameter of cross-section being from 9 to 30 mm depending on head of water pump. Branch pipes are arranged on side surfaces at angle from 0° to 360°. Materials for manufacture of thermostat housing are indicated in description of invention.
