FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has squeezing mechanism and axial impact load transmitting mechanism comprising rotating disk with wedge-shaped protrusions. Drawing die and casing are reciprocating in immovable housing. During rotation of disk its protrusions come into contact with protrusion on casing to create impact axial load, which is transmitted through casing and drawing die to blank. Load is perceived by blank inertia force, rolls of setting device and drawing device to provide for high-speed deformation of blank. Apparatus is used for manufacture of slabs of different section. EFFECT: wider range of sections produced by drawing process and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
