FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes pouring of liquid metal into space between mold walls and central core installed in mold and pulling of hollow casting block. Central core is installed on two vertical walls and introduced into mold at the moment of its working conditions of casting and with preliminary heating of core to average temperature of working surface of mold walls. The device for realization of the offered method has teeming vessel with metering device and submersible nozzles, water-cooled mold and central core installed in mold. Rod is made with conical upper zone and calibrating lower zone. Mold is made with two vertical walls for reciprocation and walls inclined in upper part for rotary motion. Upper part of vertical walls of mold along their axes have recesses in which central core is installed. Depth h of recesses is related to height H of wall inclined section by ratio h/H = 0.15-0.20. EFFECT: higher efficiency of process for production of continuously cast casting blocks. 3 cl, 3 dwg
