FIELD: metallurgy; production of continuously cast bimetallic castings of arbitrary shapes and thickness. SUBSTANCE: method includes pouring into mold of liquid metal with feed of band of other metal. In so doing, metal band is introduced after destruction of crust with preliminary pressing of metal in two-phase state and additional pressing of two layers of metals in solid state, calibration of surface and pushing out of casting. To reduce consumption of energy resources for heating bands and cooling water, mold for production of bimetallic castings has slotted hole with means for pressing the bands to mold working surface.
