FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process includes pouring of molten metal into mould with central rod through hole located in each of two submersible sleeves, drawing of hollow billet from mould. In addition to pouring of molten metal there are conducted periodic destruction of forming solid rim and reduction of liquid and solid metals on upper inclined sections of faces and central rod. Axes of holes in sleeves are parallel to upper inclined sections of first pair of faces of mould and form inclination angle α with horizontal plane equal to 7 deg. First pair of faces of mould has sections in upper part made at angle with vertical plane for possible performance of rotary motion. Second pair of faces is vertical and is capable of reciprocating motion. EFFECT: improved quality of inner and outer surfaces of manufactured billet, increased productivity of process. 3 cl, 3 dwg
