FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, investment casting. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing pattern from powder mixture of investment composition of 0.1-1.6 mm fraction and sodium chloride of 0.01-0.63 mm fraction, with volumetric ratio of components, wt%: investment composition 75-80, sodium chloride 20-25; providing dosed dispensing of investment composition into injection mold in an amount allowing to obtain models with porosity of 1.5-3%; molding investment material without preheating by aligning division surfaces of injection mold halves. During molding, powder investment material is caked without substantial phase deformation processes to form open capillary porosity compensating expansion of pattern during heating thereof in the process of casting from ceramic enclosure. EFFECT: increased dimensional and geometric precision of patterns and ingots. 1 tbl
