DEVICE FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL TREATMENT OF INNER SURFACES OF PIPES WITH CURVILINEAR AXIS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: electrochemical treatment of metals; devices for treatment of inner surfaces of pipes. SUBSTANCE: operation of proposed device includes intermediate operations in rolling (cleaning, etc.) between rolling operations (broaching, etc.) and operations of galvanic treatment of inner surfaces of pipes. Proposed device is provided with working electrode made in form of multi-layer closed perforated envelope placed inside section of pipe to be treated. Working cylindrical surface of electrode is made from conducting gauze provided with insulating elements on outer surface directed towards pipe ; insulating elements are made in form of rigid flexible nap of non-conducting fibers. Electrolyte is delivered to zone of treatment through perforations from electrode cavity via metalreinforced hose whose metal envelope is used for connection with current source. Device may be used for cleaning and treatment of cylindrical parts with curvilinear axes. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities due to continuous removal of metal over considerable cylindrical surface. 2 dwg
