FIELD: well logging of operating wells; applicable in determination of intervals of casing-borehole annulus fluid flow. SUBSTANCE: method includes series of time temperature measurements with subsequent comparison of obtained thermograms in process of well operation; registration of thermograms before and after short-time local heating of casing string in expected interval of fluid flow. Rate of temperature rise is indicative of fluid flow. According to the second version, variation of temperature is registered during time at definite depth of researched interval after short-time local heating of casing string at some distance in depth from temperature sensitive member. Character of fluid flow is determined by rate of temperature rise. EFFECT: higher confidence and unambiguity of determination of fluid flow in well and in casing-borehole annulus. 2 cl, 3 dwg
