FIELD: manufacture of engines; tests of heavy internal combustion engines, railway transport, repair of ships and automobiles. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes partial and complete loading in modes of different duration; proposed method is performed with the aid of transfer car used for transportation of diesel-generator from assembly section to testing section; transfer car simultaneously performs function of bed frame for diesel- generator in running-in and testing after securing this car on heavy foundation. Test stand is provided with measuring, monitoring and control units, stationary fuel, oil, water, air and exhaust systems and liquid load rheostat. Transfer car for diesel-generator has connecting members for connection with fuel, oil and water systems, as well as hoisting bearing units and fasteners mounted on transversal beams. EFFECT: possibility of conducting tests in individual special room excluding effect of noise, vibration and escape of gases on workers not engaged in testing procedure; avoidance of using heavy cranes. 3 cl, 3 dwg
