FIELD: mechanical engineering; diagnostic facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed low-noise stand for acoustic investigations of internal combustion engine contains load-bearing framework made in form of four metal vertical posts on top of which rectangular-section carrying metal frame is rigidly mounted, torque induction motor mechanically connected to drive shaft of internal combustion engine by flexible tie-rod enclosed in protective carrying housing on which housing of upper support drive bearing unit is mounted which is installed at preset guaranteed clearance from carrying frame and filled up with vibration-and-noise isolating sealing. Protective material carrying housing is provided with additional support posts of tubular section whose space is filled up with loose vibration damping material. Outer surface of posts is lined up with effective noise-absorbing material. EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of results of vibroacoustic bench tests of internal combustion engines. 4 cl, 2 dwg
