Abstract RU 2124974 C1

FIELD: railway transport; repair of vehicles; welding facilities. SUBSTANCE: wheelset reconditioning, additional tracks are laid inside and at both sides of main track. Wheelset jacking up mechanism is installed on inner track. This mechanism in truck with motion drive and movable platform carrying remote controlled self-propelled electric screw jack for lifting wheel-and-motor unit to provide rotation of wheelset. Surfacing devices are placed on side tracks. Each device has truck with motion drive and automatic welder with wire and flux feeder to feed wire and flux to welding zone, welding current supply source, extensible holder for welding wire, hopper with flux, flux collector to evacuate unmelted flux from welding zone, control panel and wheelset rotation drive. Installations are mounted before wheel milling machine for combining operations of surfacing and turning of wheels in lathe. After surfacing wheelset is delivered for turning, and the following wheelset is subjected to surfacing. Repair of vehicle which does not hinder wheel surfacing and turning is carried out simultaneously with surfacing and turning operations. EFFECT: reduced time taken for repair and reconditioning of wheelset tyre profile, reduced welding stresses. 3 cl, 5 dwg
