FIELD: nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: method primarily intended for marine nuclear power plants and low-power engineering where boron acid is not used for reactor power control due to organizing water chemistry to maintain constant high-temperature pH in excess of 6.9 by maintaining constant proportion between low concentrations of boron acid and alkali metal involves introduction of correcting additives such as boron acid, alkali metals, and water-generating dopes; in the process boron acid is introduced in concentrations producing no impact on reactor power control, and concentration of boron acid and alkali metals is maintained constant throughout entire service period of nuclear power plant. Concentration of boron acid is maintained between 10-500 mg/kg, that of alkali metal, between 0.2 and 10.0 mg/kg (potassium) or between 0.036 and 1.8 kg/mg (lithium), and that of hydrogen, between 1.8 and 9.0 mg/kg. In addition aluminum is introduced as correcting additive in alkali metal/aluminum molar concentration proportion below 1. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and economic efficiency of nuclear power plant. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl
