FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear energy and can be used to remove radioactive contamination from the internal surfaces of the equipment of the primary circuit of pressurized water nuclear reactors of low power. The method includes several cleaning cycles. For the entire period of coolant cleaning, regular ion-exchange filters are disconnected from the primary circuit equipment, and a corrective additive is introduced into the coolant up to the maximum allowable concentration value. The coolant is cleaned on a non-standard filter connected to the bypass, loaded with a composite magnetic filter material located in a magnetic field, and the time interval from the input of the corrective additive to the connection of the non-standard filter is no more than 0.5 hours. The filter is connected for a pumping time through it from one to three volumes of the coolant, and the volume of filter loading is calculated based on the condition for obtaining, at the end of the cleaning cycles, the quality of the coolant corresponding to the quality standard for aqueous media in the primary circuit of a nuclear reactor.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of removal of contaminants from the primary circuit while maintaining the service life of standard ion-exchange filters.
