FIELD: plasma-arc treatment of materials, possibly in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: plasmotron includes cathode, nozzle whose inner surface is in the form of continuously narrowed cone passing to cylinder and insulator. In housing of plasmatron along its whole height there are tangential ducts inclined relative to axis of plasmatron and designed for supplying plasma generating gas. Said ducts also may be arranged helically along housing. EFFECT: improved design of plasmatron providing more effective stabilization of plasma arc. 1 dwg
