FIELD: disposal of ammunition. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in preparation of a solution of sodium hydroxide in an aqueous medium, deriving a compound of a solution of sodium hydroxide in an aqueous medium with an aqueous suspension of an explosive of the nitramin series in a reactor, preheating of the obtained mixture to a temperature of 100C, carrying-out of an alkaline hydrolysis and removal of gaseous products from the reactor. The solution of sodium hydroxide in an aqueous medium is prepared by suspending and leaching in water of heated disperse sodium ferrite. After the alkaline hydrolysis the starting disperse sodium ferrite is regenerated by dehydration and calcination of the mixture of the products of hydrolysis with sodium hydroxide surplus and leached disperse sodium ferrite. EFFECT: produced ecologically pure, highly efficient and low-cost method for disposal of explosives of the nitration series. 8 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
