FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and, particularly, to static converter cooler and heater. In order to create excess coolant pressure in the proposed device, the communicating channels on the upper part of cooler are grouped. The invention discloses other versions of the design related to coolant tank where heating unit is installed. The heating unit is represented with hollow metal cup with electrical heating element. The intermediate coolant is used in the design. The cooler channels or part of coolant channels are filled in with coolant and are refrigerating plant evaporators. In the proposed design, cooler is cooled and at the same time, it is an evaporator of the refrigerating plant which cools cooler with power semi-conductive instruments. The static converter with the proposed cooler and heater may operate under high temperature loads.

EFFECT: development of the device with effective cooling and heating system for static converter having protection rate against IP code and operating under ambient temperature being within -60°C to +60°C; reduction of converter dimensions and cost.
