FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: epoxide resin is prepared by reaction, on heating, of epichlorohydrin with reactive compounds containing active hydrogen. The latter is coal pyrolysis tar with hydroxyl group level up to 4.50 mg-equ/g and carbonyl group level up to 1.90 mg-equ/g and, if necessary, petroleum slime with freezing temperature no higher than -40 C, density no higher than 0.88 g/cu.cm (20 C) and relative viscosity no higher than 1.5 sec (50 C), which are eutectic mixture of liquid products originated from processing of anthracides and containing, in particular, monoatomic and polyatomic phenols and alkylphenols at pyrolysis tar-to-petroleum slime weight ratio (7-10):(0-3). Epichlorohydrin is added to eutectic mixture at constant stirring and boiling temperature of reaction mixture at epichlorohydrin-to-reaction mixture weight ratio between 5:1 and 0.5:1. After that, reaction mixture is reheated to boil and subjected to isothermal ageing at 80 to 150 C until gas formation ceases. EFFECT: expanded technological and application possibilities of epoxide resins at lower cost price. 8 cl, 3 ex
