FIELD: devices for production of cement clinker on the basis of molten slag of metallurgical furnaces, applicable in metallurgy and cement industry. SUBSTANCE: the melting furnace has a melting chamber with lined walls, hearth and an arch with a duct of waste gases mounted above it, immersion tuyeres for introduction of fuel and oxidizer to the melt, and a melt granulator. The melting chamber is made as a tunnel with the width between the tuyerers installed in the side walls in the length of the melting chamber equal to 0.1-0.4 L (where L - the tunnel length). The duct above the arch is separated in length into three vertical chambers, which, in their turn, are separated in height by grids into separate compartments used for passage of waste gases, some of which in the peripheral vertical chambers are provided with transfer ducts. The central chamber is isolated from the peripheral ones by lining and provided with pipe unions for inlet and outlet of cooling air. The grids are made in the form of walled up heat pipes-thermosiphons in the vertical chambers with evaporating parts located on the peripheral ducts, and condensation parts-in the central duct. Openings are made in the end walls for inlet of molten slag and discharge of the finished product, the latter enters the heating chamber, mounted in whose lower part are profiled rolls of the melt granulator.
