FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of cement clinker using flaming metallurgical slag. Molten slag is continuously fed into melting chamber simultaneously receiving lame. Clinker formed upon combustion of fuel in molten mixture (in presence of oxygen) is converted into flaming state. Before introduction of lime, slag melt is overheated from 1350-1500 C to 1600- 1700 C for 2-3 min and then, until saturation process is completed, to 1800- 1900 C for 6-8 min and, in the final phase of melting process, to 1900-2100 for 5-7 min. Lime is prepared by heating small- sized limestone to 900-110 C by emission gases formed on combustion of fuel contained in mixture. Addition of lime to slag melt is conducted by consecutively increasing grain size of lime, from the beginning to the end of melting process, from 0 to 7 mm.
