METHOD OF THERMAL PROCESSING OF HARD WASTES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2030684 C1

FIELD: chemical, oil-chemical industries, power engineering, municipal public utilities. SUBSTANCE: wastes, fuel and fluxes are located on surface of slag bath bubbled by oxygen-enriched air blast. Charging is carried out to disperse wastes over surface of slag bath. Gaseous processing products are brought out outside charging zone. Summary amount of oxygen in blast delivered to slug bath is 1.2-2.2 of amount of oxygen required theoretically to oxidize charge carbon to CO and hydrogen to H2O. Oxygen-enriched air blast over melt has summary amount of oxygen equal to 0.05-0.8 of amount of oxygen required theoretically for oxidizing carbon in charge to CO2 and hydrogen to H2O. Liquid slag is discharged from furnace and is used for production of building materials. Processing gases do not contain toxic matter and, after dedusting, they can be exhausted into atmosphere. In other version of process use is made of calcium-containing flux, CaO to FeO ratio in charge being 0.2-0.6% to 1. To decrease carryout of dust, hard wastes can be loaded into slag bath in combustible containers. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
