FIELD: medicine, cardiosurgery. SUBSTANCE: method deals with treating acquired cardiac defects. One should dissect a damaged commissura and corresponding aortal counterfort with an oval incision longitudinally against aortal axis. Then, cross-sectionally at the level of a fibrous ring an oval defect is transformed into a linear one by suturing its opposite sides with P-shaped sutures in accordance with the size of external perimeter of implanted prosthesis of aortal valve. The method enables to achieve efficient widening of a fibrous ring and implant a prosthesis of optimal sizes in case of septic destruction of a fibrous ring of aortal valve with calcinosis by not using any synthetic or biological tissue.
