FIELD: medical equipment, applicable in production of radiotherapy units, as well as of various processes, and laboratory equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has a microwave oscillator connected to a microwave chamber made in the form of a metal locker with a charging opening and a gate, control unit. Made in the walls of the microwave chamber with a spacing multiple of λ/2±λ/2, where λ is wavelength of the microwave oscillator dhole≪λ extended by metal branch pipes with diameter dbp≪λ and length L not less than λ/4 closed with metal covers, through which n electric or magnetic probes are introduced into the microwave chamber for changing the depth of their immersion in the microwave chamber within 0-h, where h is inner dimension of the microwave chamber in the direction of immersion, and for their rotation about their axis from 0 to 300 deg. Each of these probes is connected to its own radiator of electromagnetic energy installed in the zone of electromagnetic action on the external volume through a cable and adjustable phase shifter, and a ballast load with an absorption factor within 0 to 100% of the output power of the microwave oscillator is installed in the chamber. EFFECT: expanded functional abilities of the microwave oven due to heating of the local region of the irradiated external object located outside the microwave chamber by microwave electromagnetic energy. 1 dwg
