FIELD: reforming of reducing gas. SUBSTANCE: method involves reforming reducing gas in the process of ore reduction by passing ore through row of fluidized bed reactors; directing reducing gas through outer reactor for reducing ore in it; discharging partly used reducing gas containing methane and metallized iron dust from outer reactor and mixing with oxygen source; burning part of methane in the presence of metallized iron dust for producing reformed reducing gas and supplying the latter into previous reactor; in case preheating process is provided, during which reactors are heated to processing temperature, directing inert gas and methane mixture outer reactor for contacting said mixture with ore; discharging gas containing inert gas, methane and carried-away iron dust; mixing waste gas with oxygen source in the presence of iron dust; burning part of methane with resultant formation of reducing gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide; supplying produced reducing gas into previous reactor for preliminary ore reduction.
