FIELD: rolled stock production. SUBSTANCE: method is used for calibrating and rolling rails and other flanged sections with use of open and closed flanges of roll grooved passes having different inclination angles of lateral surfaces relative to vertical line while inclination angle of inner walls exceeds that of outer walls; for repairing rolls and increasing their wear resistance. Method comprises steps of shifting rolls forming roll grooved pass to mutually opposite sides in direction of lowering thickness of open flange of rail foot. Shifting value, inclination angles of bearing cones and so on are normalized by mathematical relations. EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance of rolls, rails, more rational use of rolling rolls, increased efficiency of process. 1 dwg
