FIELD: rail transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rolling rail rails. Method includes positioning the streams relative to each other along the support cones. Exclusion of the influence of the support cones on the rolls coming closer to zero value along the collar is ensured by carrying out the thinning of the open flanges of the areas of the sole and the head during the bore of the rolls and the preliminary shift of the open and closed grooves of gauges due to the thinning of the said open flanges, the amount of slope of the support cones to the vertical is pre-determined, then the amount of thinning of the open flanges sections of the soles and heads of mathematical expression is determined.
EFFECT: method provides improved product quality, increased mill productivity, roll stability and the ability to position the rolls before rolling according to the manufacturer’s plan for working in an automated rolling mode on modern duo-reversing stands.
