FIELD: sewage sediment hydrolysis equipment and method. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging raw material into hydrolysis apparatus; supplying acid; heating through raw material and withdrawing hydrolyzate. Acid concentration in reaction mass is 0.1-0.5%. Hydrolysis is performed at temperature of 250-255 C under pressure of 4-5 MPa. Slit is permanently supplied into apparatus. Prior to being supplied into apparatus, acid, normally sulfuric acid, is heated to 270-280 C and slit is heated to 180-220 C. Hydrolysis apparatus has vertical cylindrical casing, whose outlet is connected to valve, cover and pipe unions arranged in opposed relation with one another in upper part of apparatus. Pipe unions are oriented to one another and inclined downward. Apparatus is further equipped with casing heating device and reaction mass level regulating device. Valve used in construction is of throttle type. Casing is manufactured from copper or titanium alloy. Method and apparatus provide for effective decomposition of flocculant and cellulose-containing slit components, with organic component thereof being retained. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced time of holding slit sediments at increased temperature and predetermined acid concentration. 3 cl, 3 dwg
