FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fittings and valve operating at high pressures and temperatures of coolants in heat and nuclear power stations and other equipment operating at high parameters of working media. Proposed sealing device has spacer in form of solid of revolution arranged between elements of fixed joint. Said spacer can be made of metal tape wound in spiral and provided with member liable to compression to fix axial displacement of spiral coils. Graphite filler is placed at least between middle coils of spiral. Spacer is placed in space between end face surfaces of fixed joint elements. Spacer is provided with inner and/or outer rings. Width of at least one inner and one outer coils of tape corresponds to thickness of spacer its working condition and is smaller than width of middle coils of spiral. Outer and inner rings are made in form of nonflexible disk to prevent deformation of spacer in radial direction under working conditions, disk being made with concave and convex cross section of end face surface for engagement with corresponding end face surface of spacer which also has convex and concave shape in cross section.
