FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: method deals with surgery of ventral hernias. Rounded shape of defect is substituted for split- like one by applying double-row crimping sutures from the both sides against the defect in horizontal direction. Moreover, the first row of sutures should be started at the distance equal to aponeurosis defect size by increasing the width of capture in the form of triangle facing the defect by its foundation. Then the second row of horizontal sutures is applied. Then aponeurosis defect is sutured. The present method enables to decrease the number of complications and relapses in case of large ventral hernias. EFFECT: higher efficiency of plasty. 5 dwg, 1 ex
