METHOD OF TREATING POSTOPERATIVE VENTRAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2546507 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in the treatment of postoperative ventral hernias. For this purpose after carrying out herniotomy a mesh implant is laid on the entire area of the hernia defect with its further fixation on muscles of the anterior abdominal wall. After that, 100 g of dry cryoprecipitate are applied on a detached subcutaneous cellular tissue on the entire implant circumference. Then 150 units NIH/ml of sterile lyophilically dried thrombin are dissolved in 10 ml of 5% aminocaproic acid and the obtained solution is added to cryoprecipitate, placed on the mesh implant, which in a 5-7 minute time period results in the formation of a fibrin layer on the mesh implant. After that provisional ligatures on the subcutaneous cellular tissue are tied and sutures are applied on the skin.

EFFECT: method provides the effective strengthening of framework properties of the abdominal wall due to the active proliferation of fibroblasts on the cryoprecipitate matrix, conditioning the formation of the fibrous tissue.
