SEED GERMINATION BED Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2198489 C2

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: bed has plastic bar sized 250x150x30 mm and provided with 100 openings of 7 mm diameter. Openings make seed cells, which are filled to 8% of its volume with polyacrylamide gel. Gel is retained in seed cells by means of movable metal bottom tightly fit to plastic bar surface and provided with shoulders facilitating retention thereof on bar. Seed germination bed may be used for determining seed emergence rate of various crops. Germination bed of such construction enables effective extraction of waste gel upon accomplishment of seed germination process. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 1 dwg
