FIELD: agriculture, in particular, growing of mixed mixture plants. SUBSTANCE: method involves germinating mixture of seeds of crops under test in thermostat under special conditions for 7-10 days at temperature of 25-28 C at light intensity of 5,000 lux, for 12 hours a day; evaluating nature of interaction between plants and determining total germination suppression, i. e. percentage of blind seeds in the process of joint growing of seeds of both crops; determining germination suppression factor on the base of three levels: efficient germination factor (above 40%), average germination factor (30-40%) and low germination factor (below 30%); making conclusions on efficiency of using seeds in mixed sowings.
