FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for evaluating sowing qualities of seeds.
SUBSTANCE: bed has base construction wherein planting apparatus is positioned. Planting apparatus of 220x120x40 mm size is filled up to its edge with 8%-acrylamide hydrogel. Planting apparatus has gauging and cleaning panels. Gauging panel of 215x115x5 mm size has 100 through openings provided in its surface. Through openings are arranged in equally spaced relation from panel edge and from one another. Cleaning panel is free from through openings and is equal to gauging panel as to its size. Utilization of bed allows time for preparing of seed material substrate for analysis to be essentially decreased (by 10-15 times).
EFFECT: increased efficiency in evaluating seed germination capacity.
