DEVICE FOR LAYER-BY-LAYER STOWING ARTICLES IN CONTAINER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: materials handling facilities; mechanization of group loading of piece articles in containers. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for stowing cans in boxes. Proposed device has feeding conveyor, feeder with shutoff device, article receiver, movable table, lining feeder and drive. Feeder comprises accumulator, articles layer forming device and agitator. Article receiver can be made in form of open hopper without front wall installed coaxially with articles layer forming device. Bottom of receiver is located lower than article layer forming device and is furnished with pins for engagement with movable table. Receiver can be furnished with tooth-and-cam mechanism with vertical pusher with driving drum cam. Pusher is connected with bottom of receiver and mated with movable table by means of sliding bearing. Lining feeder comprises conveyor, table and mechanism to transfer linings from table to layer of articles. Shutoff device is made in form of spring-loaded pressure strip set into lifting-lowering movement by means of two disk cams and mechanism. Drive of device has geared motor, electromagnetic clutches to stop mechanisms and system of gear wheels. Number of interlocks are provided by automatic control system.
