METHOD OF ELECTRIC COAGULATION PURIFICATION OF WATER CARRYING PHENOL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2198848 C1

FIELD: purification of sewage from phenol by electrochemical technology. SUBSTANCE: electric coagulation is conducted in diaphragm-free electrolyzer under oxygen pressure 0.5-0.8 MPa with current density 5.0 mA/sq cm. Ст-3 is utilized in the capacity of electrode material. Phenol is oxidized thanks to adsorption on iron hydroxide and with dissolved oxygen. EFFECT: intensified process of purification of water carrying phenol thanks to additional oxidation of phenol of electrodes and in volume of solution. 1 tbl
